A cool site with tons of high-class photos taken of, from, and about airplanes of various types. Use the search page and take your pick.

Of special interest - look for photos by location "Philipsburg / St. Maarten". I've never been there, but there's apparently an airport very close to a beach, and landing planes come in VERY VERY low. It's listed under "Netherlands Antilles." in the country/airport box. Here's a sample:

Probably of where and how they were taken. Therre are several of an Airbus A-330 in Northwest Airlines colors at Minneapolis International, that were taken at a fairly high vantage point not accessible to regular people, or photographers. Airports are secure (or are supposed to be) areas, that limit the places people can be, and dothings, and cameras are BAD juju at airports now, especially if you're taking pictures of airplanes.. the Airport Police get real nervous and start asking questions when they see cameras around there. (I work at MSP, and know that place like the back of my hand. most of the images on airliners.net were somehow taken illegally. Especially the ones of the Airbus A-380. There shouldn't have been any images released of that thing till a couple weeks ago now.)
