Sick
I've been ill now for about a month. First a cold, which has never really gone away. Then a short bout with what I thought was a flu variant. Now I've got aches and a fever, still have my cold congestion, and my stomach/intestines aren't settled enough to be comforable with.
It's enough to make me want to invent virus-zapping nanomachines.
On the plus side, I got my tax refund yesterday. w00t. (see my post today in humor forum...)

Gambit, nearly everyone I work with has had this exact same thing. I had it for about three months, Katie had it for a bit longer than me, and I was put on antibiotics and allegra last week. Things have cleared up real quick for me (almost overnight). I'm taking something called Biaxin. Katie finally went to the doctor today, and they gave her allegra only. It hasn't cleared anything up yet. But my sinuses were stuffed for a long time. Before that, it was an ear ache, before that, chest congestion, before that body aches only, before that, I think it was a bad cough and a runny nose, and before that it was aches and a fever, and I lost track of what it was before that. It even travelled all around my body.
In short. It sucked.
In short. It sucked.

Hey guys, IceDragon here...
I've been sick for about 3 or so weeks almost with the same thing. 3 weeks prior my ear started getting clogged. I thought nothing of it and thought there was just wax buildup or something. I let it go until i started losing my equilibrium because of it. Went to the Dr. and he gave me AlleRx (decongestant) for it as it was a bad sinus infection. That stuff is horrible (AlleRx). It made me sleepy within 1.5 hours of taking it...was making my heart race...labored breathing, anxiousness ect...I called back the Dr. and told him and he prescribed me Augmentin (antiobiotic) and i have since taken after stopping the AlleRx. I was supposed to finish the Augmentin on Saturday but stopped taking it on Friday. I'm still getting winded and my heart races a bit...and I've lost alot of my appetite (but still eat). I'm going back to the dr. tomorrow for an ekg (apparently he didn't like me saying that I'm feeling tightness in my chest accompanied by labored breathing and/or increased heart rate....but I'm seriously thinking I have pneumonia or something close...
I just don't still feel right...i'm not myself...and i hate it
Other than that how are all of you, ltns...lol

I often wonder how many other diseases / conditions are out there with similar symptoms that doctors misdiagnose? I had to go to the Dr. 3 times (each time a different one) for them to finally decide I had pneumonia. I mean, wft? The ear drops are helping, and the Sudafed os making my nose not run, but my hearing still isn't right. I think I'll need to go see the Dr. again this week... I hate Doctors.

To be honest, and this sounds gross, it might be ear wax. Sometimes you get an ear infection that doesn't hurt, but ear wax builds up and makes a little plug. It's that plug that won't let you hear anything right.
Funny thing is that the doctors totally missed it somehow when they were trying to figure out why my ear was plugged; you'd think they'd see some wax...
Anyways, I got one of those things that doctors use to help clean babies up just after they're born (the little things with the ball on the end that you squeeze, and you can squirt water with them or suck snot and other birth fluids out of babies noses and mouth). I had to use one back in highschool, because my uncle suggested it, and nothing else was working. You just get a bowl of warm water, draw up as much as you can into the thing, put it in your ear and squeeze the ball so that the water shoots out. You gotta do it fairly hard. Definitely don't do it if you have an active ear infection cause it will hurt. But the warm water clears out all of the hard wax.
My roommate actually did this back in college cause his ear plugged up. Except he couldn't find one of those syringe thingies, so he went to the store and got a turkey baster.
