I am on the last Dune book. I have read all the originals, and now I am reading DUNE: The Battle of Corrino. Great series.

I liked the first few books of the Dune series. Didn't really care for the last couple. Can not stand the ones by Brian H. that he's writing off of his dad's notes - the style stinks.

Honey, you only read one of the Brian H set, IIRC. I admit, they aren't as good as the original Dune, but they are getting better.

The entire series is actually good, and he just came out with the fourth book which I plan on getting soon. The books are addictive and I got well into the character's while reading.

I am also an avid fan of everything from Raymond Fiest, R.A.Salvatore, and I read Robert jordan when I want to feel like I'm wasting my life away with a decent concept for a book yet reading an over bearing long winded, writing a book and filling it with 500+ of extra pages just for a profit kind of mood.
