Anyone ride Motorcycles?

Come in! Have a margarita or root beer? How about some fresh trout? :)

Anyone ride Motorcycles?

I bought one yesterday, and I thought I'd post pics of it so you can check it out. :D It's a '79 Suzuki GS750.

My dad rode a bike for a long time. Hasn't for a while now, but he's working on getting another one now, though.

For myself, Rogue is rather dead-set against me getting one. :( Don't know if I could make any progress by using the gas-price argument, but I doubt it.

My dad did motocross and enduro racing for a long long time, and taught Timmain and I how to ride. While I'm not generally capable of driving a 'cycle safely these days due to field-of-view problems with my right eye, I can offer some advice.

If you haven't already, take a 'cycle driving course.

Buy a new helmet, not an old one. Your skull will thank you.

Buy leathers. Buy leathers. Buy leathers. Do not ever go riding without them. At the least, get some cycle pants or chaps, good strong boots, gloves, and a jacket.

Remember that you will dump your bike. It's not a matter of if, but when.

Sorry to be so adamant on these... Pop pounded these rules into my head when I was young, and they've stuck.

All that grumpy stuff aside, that's a sweet lookin' bike, Hat. :) I certainly hope you enjoy riding it!
