Good news here. Hemorragic fevers like Marburg and Ebola are a horrible nasty miserable way to die (basically they liquify your soft tissues). In its current state this vaccine raises the chance of survival in monkeys to 80%. By contrast, Ebola's normal fatality rate is 80% or more, with the best medical care, IIRC. Marburg's is around 50%.

Well... it's more like 90% for ebola. 60% for Marburg. And it depends heavily on which type of ebola.
Antivirals don't always work either. The two ones that do have a good track record of working are about 50% effective, and your chances go up the earlier you get the drugs.
