I know I am not DTM or Xmen but I do have memories with you.

T1: [sarcasm] I don't know why but every time I flew the Scout close to the ground or grazing the tops of mountains and hills a death message would appear saying something like "Xmen Iceman puts a dent into -LoS-TimberWolf's bumper" and the health bar for the Scout drops to a third. Then there are times where the Scout would disappear from beneath me and a death message would appear. [/sarcasm] Most common person to hit my bumper was -LoS-Wolfpack, who almost like magic appeared right in front of me every time I flew over the hills.

I remember a time on the map with two floating bases and a tower in the middle where I would do strafing runs with the Scout. Again the above would happen some times but in this case there was one day where I had almost the entire enemy team up on the roof firing chain guns at me as I shoot missiles killing them. I got so many “CHEATER!!” and “Get down here and fight you wuss!” that I was laughing my head off. These same people were complaining about how weak the Scout was on the forums. Later on I could no longer do this to Xmen members because several had learned how to snipe very well or learned how to fly it themselves and hunt me down as I tried to hide to repair. I still remember one player who played on that server just as much as me say "Destroy the vehicle pad, TimberWolf is here." I sucked when I didn't have a vehicle.

T2: I don't recall who was the gunner but there was this time driving the Beowolf that I couldn't be destroyed. The gunner shot every missle and shrike down. He quickly destroyed any tank or heavy that came our way. He quickly adapted to my driving on the steep slopes of the mountains. I wish I still had the screen shot of the 4 shrikes, 2 tanks, and about 5 heavies on foot shooting at us. That lasted the entire level, but when the next one loaded all of the enemies made a b-line to the vehicle pad to destroy it.

Here is that picture, AB:

I remember way back before I was in XMEN. Before cTc broke up. It was an OGL match. One of the maps was Snowblind. It was myself and CaptAGL that played LD on that map. We had a HoF, and a turret monkey. And I tell you what, I have never played that well as I did that night! EVERY single O person they sent against us, CaptAGL and I killed. Either chaining, discing, mine+discing, or one would snipe while the other closed; no matter what we did, badguys died. I think Cap and I both broke 40 kills a piece.

I remember after joining XMEN playing several maps where we just had a blast. I don't recall how many times we won or lost, but it was very fun.

I remember hopping in a tank with AB in T2, on that one map, and we just owned their base. It was like everything they threw at us, we killed it.

I still have the TS recording of that XMEN vs. IRS match, BTW. I listened to part of it the other day, and it was kind of funny. We had them so off balance that it looked like they didn't know what to do! Some of the best memories I have of gaming are from the people here.

Oh and I'll never forget the 8+ hour stints on broadside back in the T1 days. Those were just plain awesome. I remember on one of them, Spec approached me about joining DTM. When I checked them out, I was impressed. Up until DTM started, there wasn't anything remotely like it that I knew of. It rocked!

Carwars - Nuff said

- - - - - -

On a seperate note.... some of my favorite memories are with my little thing I like to call a laser rifle/ In T1 where it wouldn't kill a light at full health, I remember quite often headshoting would be cappers, only to have them smack the side of the base and die from the impact, or a random turreNt hitting them killing them :)

Also changing my name to Nobody for a while :) especially when flying. The kill messages were good as well.

Then there are the random skill/luck shots (enough skill to be able to pull it off, lucky enough for it to be pulled off :) )

For example

- hitting people midair with the morter.

- killing people while I am midair with the laser rifle, Shot without Zoom.

- hitting people who are midair multiple times with dpinifusor or plasma gun.

- Slamming into peoplein the wildcat, or getting it to dive under water sending you at extreem velicities and shooting you upwards :)

- Making perfect landings while sking at a very high rate of speed, so you don't take any damage :)

- Most favorite = Sniping people out of the scout then stealing it to use :)

So many memories.... so little time :)

unfortunately i don't have many tribes memories with XMEN - other than pubbing...

I'd say my most memorable DTM one (inwhich alot of XMEN were involved) was the first Car Wars - I cannot remember if it was THE first carwars, or my first carwars, but it was amazing...

I remember TA, I think Bug was there, and gambit, Spectre, along with many others. I was still an ADTM at the time - Lots of LoS guys were there too :)

Other than that, when .enD cracked the top 25 on OGL right before t1 died. It was an amazing thing - I didn't play in the match, but I got on shortly after... Something I wont ever forget :o

Dang...I have a date with a Nurse....oh well. Sorry guys.

...oh...another memory.

Playing the only undefeated team in the BEML. They never had a point scored on them.

We kept attacking and attacking. Our D was flawless. We had our flag...they had our flag. So a few minutes left in the game I call for ALL DEFENSE, except for RudeJelly. If we were not going to win I sure as heck was not going to let them get our flag. So we ended up with a Tie and scored ONE point against them for the TIE. They were so pissed that they left without a word. It caused a bit of a stir in BEML.

That was fun! :)

I remember that one well. :)

BTW, for the pickup game you'll probably need DefenseTurret. I got it here:

I was practicing my uber leet skiing, which was my personal favorite thing to do - and someone/thing shot a missile at me. as I headed down to the enemy flag. The turret kills me, and then the missile locked onto to the turret. The mines on the flag, the turret defense, and all sorts of havoc ensues as my missile friend blows stuff up in an AOE ball of fire.

See? I am a good flag-capper distraction! REALLY I AM!~!

Heheh.

I was never very good at capping flags, or defense, or really anything; but pair me up with another capper, and I would use my skiing skills to defend the flag carrier, or sometimes grab the flag if the carrier went down.

It frustrated the enemy more than once to kill the capper, only to see me swoop in and pick up where (s)he left off.

Sometimes, I still explore those old maps, just skiing around and flying. I loved the e-pack. :)
