If Rosalyn promotes Adama, I think he would still be subordinate to Cain due to her time in grade.
At this point, they've crossed a line of no return when it comes to having any kind of commander/subordinate relationship.
As for who kills Cain, I think that there's a preview that shows Gina (Number6) with a gun to Cain's head. Gina's got nothing to live for and wants to die. What better way than to take out Cain and then get killed by the Pegasus crew. Adama's not held responsible which would make it easier for the Pegasus crew to follow him.
I think TWs imagination is rubbing off on me.

Well, we don't have to worry about Adama being subordinate to Cain!
A few observations....
I thought Battlestars would be no match for a base star. They beat the snot out of 2 of them!! Pegasus must be more powerful than originally thought.
What happened to Gina? What was up with Number 6? Why was she telling Balter to "stop" when he was sitting on the floor talking to Gina? Now that he (Baltar) had a physical rendition of Number 6 to dote on, does this mean that the mental Number 6 has gone bye bye?
I wish they would have shown more of the battle. But, what they DID show was awesome! I loved how all of the bodies came pouring out of the Resurrection ship as the Vipers were on their strafing runs.

I agree, it would have been awsome to see the battle from the beginning to the end. I wonder if they were able to salvage the Blackbird or anything else from the battle zone.
I don't think we have seen the last of number 6 or Gina. They both will be resurfacing sooner or later.
By the way Apollo sounded I think he has lost hope or the will to continue. It will be interesting to see how long they keep the Pegasus around in the show. The events have changed a lot of what the show is about. They are no longer weakly protected. They no longer have a fleet behind them following their every move, for the time being. And the president is ever closer to dieing.

I saw a quote on the Sci-Fi Battlestar Galactica board where someone said, "ALRIGHT! Baltar is finally being Baltar!"
Given the fact that he was such an obvious traitor to the human race in TOS, I can see how he's heading that way here. Number 6/Gina will be at his side.
The previews for next week seem to indicate that they do a transfusion of sorts from Boomer to the president. Not sure what that's all about.
As for Apollo... I think he's become totally disillusioned. You can tell that he wasn't on board with the whole idea of assassinating Cain, but when he found out that his father and the president were co-conspirators I think that pushed him over the edge.

Okay, I really liked the last episode but I think it was a bit too neat with regards to how they saved Rosalyn.
Interesting things that I picked up...
* Rosalyn was messing around with President Adar before the attack. He doesn't seem her type. I wonder how this will play out in future episodes.
* Rosalyn was in the process of being canned by Adar. Once again, interesting. Is this just back-filler, or will it play a role later? Dunno.
* Rosalyn was having backflashes and seems to clearly remember seeing Baltar with someone that she now knows to be a Cylon agent. I'm certain that this will come to head in the next few episodes. My guess is that she will talk to him and he will disappear (on his own), and join the peace movement.
* What long term effect will the Cylon blood have on Rosalyn?
* The peaceniks. The correlation with current events is painfully obvious. The part where the leader of the peaceniks was brough before Tigh and Adama kinda ticked me off. Adama points out that it was the Cylons that started the war, to which the peacenik leader screams, "After we enslaved them!" I'm thinking, what on earth is this guy thinking? The Cylons weren't enslaved by man; they were created by man. Seems to me that the creator has the right to do whatever he wants with his creation. They left of their own accord and founded their own homeworld, and then they came back 40 years later and vaporized billions of humans in an act of genocide. Thoughout all of this, where were they enslaved? Adama or Tigh should have slapped this guy and set him straight.
Grrrr.... I hate waiting until the next episode to see what happens.

I was just looking over the episode from two weeks ago when Rosalyn was near death and remembering the past. She did get a clear view of Baltar in the first 5 minutes of the show but didn't get a clear view of number 6 until later. I think that we will be seeing her following up on this later.

Think we've had enough character development for the time being, myself. Had the mopey Apollo ep, now the mopey Starbuck ep, so I think it's about time for a little more action.
Oh, one other thing. I am really tired of the style where they show something happening at the beginning of the show, then snippets all through while they fill in the preceding events. It just doesn't wear well.

I agree with you Gambit. That way of presenting the story was good but they shouldn't be limited to that way alone.
So Pegases is building now Vipers and training new recruits. I wonder what type of fighter they are building, the latest and greatest or ones that the Galactica had brought back into service? Has the other flight pod been brought back into service? After so many deaths in the last episode how many operational Vipers are there on Galactica (I know more are being made)? What kind of raids have the Battlestars been doing between shows (hinted to by the people calling for peace with the Cylons)? Was the Black Bird completely destroyed or where they able to repair it? Why didn't the nuke that was taken off Galactica get detected and if its because its in shielding why hasn't anyone noticed that the Cylon detector doesn't have it?
Just some questions that come to mind.

The Adam's now control both Battlestars. Apollo is now the Commander of Pegasus.
They had some nice fighting scenes. They also showed why the Basestars were so easy to take down. Those forward cannons can make scrap out of the Cylons quickly.

True, but what's the score now? That's what.... 4 base stars taken out by the battlestars without the loss of one capital ship? I come up with the number 4 by remembering the 1st one was destroyed ty Boomer before she tried to assassinate Adama, then there were the 2 that were destroyed when the battlestars took out the Resurrection Ship. Finally, while we don't know for sure, it looks like the one that Pegasus attacked last night was just about down for the count. Sure, the battlestars took some damage, but they're still ticking.
Lots of foreshadowing and groundwork has been done over the last few episodes.
+ The peace movement. Gina (the #6 model cylon) belongs to them and has a nuke.
+ The "underworld" side of the fleet.
+ Have we seen the last of the people that took the hostages on Cloud 9? I know that those who did the deed were killed, but were they part of a larger movement?
+ Baltar is getting frisky. I've heard some say that he threw Roslin under a bus with his stunt during her press conference. Personally, I think she remembers enough to place Baltar with a known cylon agent (#6) prior to the initial Cylon attack. She has GOT to make use of that info at some point. Is he going to take off with #6 at some point and join up with the Cylon fleet? It would kind of tie in with the original series. I've also read that some think that Baltar himself is a Cylon. I don't think so, but I have no way to disprove that theory.
+ Tom Zarek has been showing his face a little bit more lately. Gotta wonder what he's up to.
+ The character development of Starbuck has been interesting. She seems to be coming back into her own.
+ Lee Adama is promoted to Commander so soon after having been promoted to Major? It wasn't all that long ago that Adm. Cain had busted him back down to Lieutentant. He's in charge of the Pegasus, but I wonder how many remember that his past is not so rosy. After all, he did hold a gun to Tighe's head in an act of mutiny when Adm. Adama had Roslin arrested. Speaking of character development, Apollo has come a long way. What's up with him and Duella? Am I the only one that thinks she's kinda hot? It'll be interesting to see how this relationship develops. It came on kind of fast.
+ The whole abortion issue was kind of interesting. I'm not really surprised seeing as how the writers have been building in so many parallels to current events. I think that there has been a pretty compelling reason put forth for a total ban on the procedure. The human race needs to procreate as much as possible.
Anyways.... those are some of my thoughts for now. Anyone else care to share?
