Crap...now they will go downhill.

Dell puts so much bloatware on their machines...I hate working on their home machines because of it. Slows them way down.

Hopefully they will leave them alone to do what they do best.

I've always liked Alienware PCs, just never could afford one. Here's another example of big business crushing the little guys and destroying what they do best.... RIP Alienware.

Dell denied this, last I'd heard. Dunno if the Forbes article was before or after that.

Which is why I tend to format them almost right away and load only the things I want. Or, better yet, don't even buy the Dimension line. Get the Optiplex and the only thing you get is Windows.

Actually, Gambit, I think this is going to be a done deal. I've read another article where Michael Dell talks about the purchase.

I just read an article on Tom's Hardware with the VP of Marketing at Alienware, and it is indeed true.
