...enters the atmosphere!
This was just one of the coolest sequences I have EVER seen on Battlestar Galactica....

Yeah, that was so beautiful that I had to record the show as soon as it aired again. Now I can watch it over and over again. That is the best graphics intensive episode yet. The sequence when the Peguses rams the Basestar, then its one flight pod takes out another, was awsome.

Spoiler doesn't mean the episode hasn't aired. It means you discuss events within the episode (or movie), and it's simply a warning. Some people haven't seen this episode. Like me. I've got a copy but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Ok, now I've watched it. Yup, was way cool!
As I was telling Rogue, though, just freefalling through the atmosphere doesn't cause that superhot re-entry effect - on real ships, it's the fact that you're slowing down from orbital speeds. But the sfx look great, and also there could be some effect of the jump drive we're unfamiliar with, so I'll give 'em a pass.
