Just saw a news article on Antikythera Mechanism.

Its a wonder that such tools could be constructed back in the bc era's. And according to literature of the time there were more machines with far less abilities. What else could they make if something like this was made?

I was very impressed by this thing when I read about it!

They had a working steam engine, but considered it a toy from what I understand.
