Racing school.

Come in! Have a margarita or root beer? How about some fresh trout? :)

Racing school.

Post by BlackRider »

I've always wanted to try out auto racing. So I've been counting my pennies... well, still broke but I'm doing it any way!

This week I'll be signing up for the Skip Barber racing school. (At the cost of about $1350 per day for 3 days  ) I can't really afford it, but since it is my last dream that's still alive I'm going for it. At least then I can say I tried.

Now to decide between Laguna Seca (CA) and Lime Rock Park (CT). Laguna Seca gets 1st dibs b/c it is an AWSOME track. :D

I'd go to laguna Seca. Finsih school, get a job, then do it. i want to do it too, not to try to make a career out of it or anything, but hell - it sure would be fun. :D

There's the difference. I would be interested in making a career out of it. I missed the ideal age for starting in carts, so I'm going to try for a license and hit up a few rich friends for sponsorships :D
I hadn't thought of it until now, but I might be able to find someone who would help cover the cost of a driving school and first few races.
