That was cool!
This one didn't have such a happy ending...

(He accidentally recreated the airshow b-52 crash. He banked too much and sideslipped out of control. )

I'm sure he wasn't. I did some reading on him and many wrote of him as if he were a mad man. There was some video on youtube of him clearing a hill by 30-35' and THAT was something to see.
but back on RC planes... my dad was real big in RC planes since the beginning and we've still got 10-12 still in the house and I think 1-2 still fly! All I have is an electric helo. Everybody said DO NOT start out with a helo... but as much common sense as I have, I did it anyway. Lemme tell you this, they are not so bad as everyone says and some of the newer ones are so easy to fly that ANYONE can do it! For example, the Blade CX is so stable that you can trim it and set the transmitter down! (I don't own the CX, but a total n00b buddy managed to do this 10 min out of the box.) Also, the CX is great for flying in your house or office if you don't want to go anywhere to fly... but the greatest thing about helos is that with all but the largest you can fly in your own driveway.
