Robert Jordan passed away today...

And he was only 59...

I actually met him once, at a book signing in Seattle. He was pretty big (this coming from me), and he reminded me of a bear. Though a well-dressed bear at the time. He was jovial, and you could tell something was always going on inside his head because he had this twinkle in his eyes. He was a very happy person when I met him, and I'm sad that he is gone. Though impressed at his fight.

Fitting that the quote-of-the-day that popped up on one of those fansites was this one:

I loved the first two books in that series.... truly excellent writing. I will miss what other books he had set himself to writing. More than that, he was simply a great person - See you on the Last Day bro!
