OSU is just wonderful!

Come in! Have a margarita or root beer? How about some fresh trout? :)

OSU is just wonderful!

Post by BlackRider »

At orientation they treat me like an idiot (though I'll admit that sometimes I need that... but this was just silly)... now on the first day of class, my first class ends after 10 minutes and the 2nd one was cancelled... and now I have NINE hours until my next class.... time to go makes some friends or something......... is it boredom that drives college students to drink?

pfft! 20 mile commute through rush hour traffic for 10 mins of what I had already read online.

Are you talking about Ohio State University or some other OSU?

If your talking about Ohio State then we might cross paths.

I live on Campus in one of the North Dormitories. My classes are all in Scott Labs. When are your classes done for the day? This Friday I have nothing scheduled, just need to get some things required for classes from Uniprint and walk over to Target for a couple of things.

hrmm.... well, Friday I head home for the weekend early in the afternoon. I'm not sure when. My schedule is simple, but quite horrible... tuesday & thursday I am free from 3-6pm, wednesday from 1-6pm, and monday is any time after 1pm. 16 credit hours is way too light of a load :(

I don't know anyone that would say 16 credit hours is too light of a load. Most colleges require permission to take more than 16 credits, even though 17 was the norm or so for me in college. You need that time to study and decompress, and work, if that's something you need to fit in. Enjoy it now, because your upper division courses are gonna be a killer.

I've taken as many as 22 hours in a quarter before... it was tough, but I think I've got enough financial aid that I can avoid holding a job until I graduate..... and I want to do that ASAP.

At the University of Cincinnati, anything over 18 hours was considered overtime and cost more. I know this is still day one, but after having quarters where I was taking 3 foreign languages (11 hrs), math (5 hrs) and econ (3 hrs).... this is looking to be a boring quarter with only chem (5 hrs... and the 3rd time I've taken college chem b/c my credits didn't transfer), econ (5 hrs, I took this once before... didn't transfer either), classics (5 hrs, might be interesting) and some online class that treats like like a retard and takes me step-by-step through adding and dropping classes, talking to an advisor, etc etc etc

Today I'm busy printing things out for my classes and getting things setup. I'm on my Senior year of Mechanical Engineering and have a lot of things to get organized before my work start next week. My classes today have already assigned home and I am getting study groups together for them.

I have sent you some ways to contact me so we can get together. I should have time tomorrow evening after 3pm.

From Friday noon time to Sunday noon time I will be at my Parents place in Lima seeing my Brother, His wife, and 9 month old son. The best time for me to get together would be next weekend starting Friday after 2pm, shortly after work.

Hat, the world is only doomed if they give us access to the nuclear reactor controlled by OSU. But until then the worst you will see are giant robots attacking anyone we feel like. :)

Hat, 800 miles you say.... My room-mate is an Aerospace engineer so he should be able to design a delivery system that can reach that far. Either that or just ship it to you by UPS. :)

Texas!!!! Why didn't you ask me to come along?!?! I'm originally from Texas and miss living down there during the winters, not so much in the summers. Hope you have fun down there Star.
