New Intel Core i5-750 sold at Fry's before off release!

Post by XMEN Iceman »

In the USA Fry's apparantly made a rather big booboo. Their online shopping cart is already showing the yet to be released Intel quad-core Core i5 750.

Fry’s Electronics is listing the processor at $205. The Core i5 seems set to become the most valuable processor in the Core i5 range.

I think it is time for me to be looking at building my next machine off of this processor!

I haven't followed hardware developments in a long, long time.. How is the i5 different or better than the i7?

This may help. Looking at cost/benefit the i5 is a cheaper, but very close in performance i7 processor with a new socket format.
