Hosting a Windows 7 party...

I got picked by MS to host one of the Windows 7 House parties. Woot!

Anyway, Can't wait to see what they send for the party.

I am going to just load it on my machine, let people play with it, give them the party favors MS sends then kick them out so I can play with it.

I will let you know how well it works with games, etc.

When is this supposed party? If it's in the next couple weeks, I won't be there, but if it's after Thanksgiving, I might be able to make the trip from OKC...

arstechnica has some screen shots of what appears to be a win 7 party package.

It's supposedly from a reader there who resides in the Caribbean, and complained to MS that they weren't having any parties in the Caribbean.

The XP Pro goodie bag had a bobblehead, some fake "baseball" cards, and a baseball with an XP Pro logo. In addition to the software itself, of course.

If you are counting my wife she is at least a 7 in my book.

Party went fine. Only about 5-6 people showed up, but that was OK.

I was able to get a Win 7 upgrade package for 40 dollars, so I picked up a copy and will try it out!
