Yeah, a bunch of us are upset (nothing to show for all the work), and some folks have cried a bit. It's kind of sad, but some of the things and knowledge that I have will never be seen.

It did work, and some of the follow on tests would have shown that. But the defense budget is... what it is.

What I know is that the plane will be DEMILed, then put into storage. Once that happens, it's not like we can pull it out dust it off and go.

On the flip side, there are always better things than what the public knows. ;)

It was a little disappointing to read the story, but not entirely surprising.. Just too bad for a lot of folks. Are you still working on that project, or did you move on to something else?

I ended up moving to a new agency within DoD, when we moved from California. Now I crack the whip on contractors!

(You all would easily believe how sneaky they try to be. And usually play it off like they're dumb. It's frustrating when you think that people just can't possibly get far in their careers at a private company and not know key skills like reading English, drawings, their own procedures and so on.)

Makes me not want to go back to private industry.

But, like I said there are always better things. ;)
Hopefully, we won't have to see them used.
