Woot!!! Upgraded my DSL to Fiber!!!

AT&T is installing UVerse fiber to my house in a couple of weeks. I am getting 18mbit/s download and 1.5mbit/s upload!!! Sweet!!! And for only $34.95 per month! I am so happy!!!!

Rock on!!! I wonder if it is enough to host a private Tribes: Ascend server?

LOL.. I recently got 12Mb down, 5Mb up.. It's awesome. With the voracity that the wife uploads pictures to snapfish and shutterfly, I think I might use more data UP than I do down..

I have a motorola sb 6121 cable modem. bonded.

The theoretical max speed is:

171.537 Mbps (4 channels) / 42.884 (single channel)

Of course comcast allowed all four channels to bond. I just didn't buy their most expensive service.

Actually I am remodeling a house in older neighborhood in Arlington,TX....so there is alot of old copper here. But in new neighborhoods (without many trees) they have faster options.

So I feel lucky to have this.
