I now have a Ryzen 1700x with a Radeon RX Vega56 vidcard, 16GB. Went with a combo SSD (samsung Evo 970) and 4TB HDD. Also, it's my first watercooling setup; got a CoolerMaster AIO with twin-fan radiator, and a shiny fire-engine-red NZXT case to put it all in.
Welp, my little girl was as impatient as her mother . She was born the evening of 5/10, she was 2lb 14oz 15 3/4" long. Currently doing awesome and will be staying in the NICU for ~2 months or so. Mom also doing well.
Having a premie does make one worry for a while but after their first birthday they basically catch up to all the other kids. I know this from experience as my daughter and son were 6 and 6.5 weeks early, respectively. My daughter is now 3.5 years old. My son is 1 year old. My son is growing faster than my daughter and is already 2/3rds her weight.
For me the true scare was after the birth of my son when my Wife developed a heart condition. She is still having some issues.
Enjoy the moments you have with your new child. They do go by fast and before you know it they stop happening as much and then stop. By then you find yourself missing those moments.
EDIT: just realized I never updated. My daughter came out of the NICU fully healthy. Man they grow quick she turned 2 in May. Full of energy, smart and sassy. Going to have my hands full with her. She’s my world.
My son was born in March, he stayed in 10 weeks past my daughter and was well into the "full term" limits. He's doing great.
My daughter is bright as can be, full of energy, and quite entertaining. Also very strong willed. Which has its pros and cons
