I don't know much about this game other than the demo is awsome! Since my video card isn't supported it took me more than an hour to get the best picture w/o any corruption, but it was more than worth it! Big maps, beautiful scenery, the best graphics I've ever seen, rag-doll physics... everything you could wish for (except jetpacks and disk shooters). Best of all is the game runs on a scripting lanuage, so you can even modify the demo! (I tweaked the damage values to make them more realistic but that's about all I've done.) Too bad I can't max out the graphics and get all of the water reflections and everything. I downloaded it the other day and it truly is a beautiful game. I played for maybe 15-20 minutes (due to CoD addiction). now is that on demo 1 or demo 2? I've been playing on demo 2 now for a bit, got it with the latest pc gamer, and it is simply amazing <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> what I can't believe is how GOOD the bots are, started sniping from an island away from them 1st shot they duck and cover 2nd shot they were inching closer and figuring my position 3rd shot I realized a few of them had already swum to an island closer to me 4th shot they were peppering my position with fire and one was beginning to swim to my island got off the cliff I was on, and moved down the the beach, and got the one while he was swimming, his partner starts hitting me with an m-4 from across the water, and another one I didn't notice was beginning the swim across ack! and this was on easy! Bought FarCry today, more updates as follows, but I wanted to pass on info, for AMD64 owners, there is and will be, for all FarCry owners, a FarCry64 Beta going on, yup to fully utilize the capabilities of the AMD64, pretty sweet, huh?

I've heard almost nothing but praise for this game. I've not played the demo yet. But the game has shipped. (and the obligatory release patch...) Lots of good stuff coming out lately. arrr! she's a mighty good game! first life, had quite an adventure <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D"> and barely scratched the paint, well except for the paint of the buggy I got to drive before they finally caught up to me enmass, driving takes a bit of getting used to, especially if your spoiled from 3rd person driving(like me, who now makes a mental note to look for that setting) I think this might be a better sneak game than splinter cell(though no split jumps, which are for girls anyways :P) binoculars are great fun though. can't wait to try this on a team multi-player game, but alas, I must rest <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D"> (btw pay attention to the install instructions of turning off all other programs while installing, dunno which one that I was running did it, but my first install was bad, and gave me the impression that the game consisted of watching a splash screen until the end of time) also, make sure to run the configuration program, before starting, orthe first time you load the game will take a loooong time(hey, I set it the first time, it was after the 2nd installation, I was just a tad impatient, and HAD TO KNOW IF IT WORKED OR NOT) also, with 2.2ghz on a 400mhz fsb, it was brutal, ran smooth enough once I turned antistropic filtering down from 4o to 2, still kept fsaa maxed out, with no much more than a hiccup, BUT all my other settings(details etc, were on medium) might try to bump up everything to high or very high, just as a sort of "burn-in" If you like FPS games,(though I admit, on ly 3 game types DM, TDM, and assault, makes multi-player look a little slim) with open mapping and modding(they call it the sandbox, and if I get into it I"ll letcha know) pick this one up asap! must sleep now, laters all!
