My Lag is getting completely unpredictable.

Ever since I downloaded and installed 1.11, my lag is completely unpredictable. I will take a high ping, so long as the connection is steady, but my connection has been cycling through 100, 260, 1598, 462, 100, etc at a random pattern. I can't do anything!<br><br>I time a shot, and have no idea what will happen to it. I am completely shut down. I am getting so frustrated that I don't want to play tonight. How can I play? I would play with the packet size settings within Tribes and make them smaller. My ping hud is still haywire, but my connect has leveled off. I am not red-jacking. Our college must've upgraded to a T-1, because it is only after I tried that, that the ping stabilized.
