I think I might talk to the wife about preordering anyway... The other stuff is tempting enough for the low price. Oh - Player Name is SpinningHat.

Will the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) be removed once Beta Testing begins?

Yes. The NDA is in place only until the start of Closed Beta. Once we begin Closed Beta it will be invitation only but there is no longer an NDA.

Post away about your thoughts people. For me, I've been running mostly in Jugg armor doing HO work. I pop the main turrets and sensor early on, mortar spam the enemy flag, and usually end up dueling 1v1 or 2v1 or 3v1 out in my corner of the map (because people dont like being spammed). Jugg armor seems to move ok, but the jets are horrible (all the armor need jet boosts imo) and my discs dont seem to hurt other players anymore than light disks do (and I have them upgraded).

I played one icy map and a little of another. It's not perfect. But it feels like Tribes!

Yeah!

My ingame name: Ashaman

I've got four keys here...

G8IAU-58CK5-QKS9G-SQ80L-CP3BF
T1630-8C8F6-FE654-B8EA1-D52C5
T1AB2-BBFE7-D8AA4-07FAF-6C0BC
T16B6-DFF2E-D5E44-D0794-F150E

Use them while they're still hot!

Grabbed a patch today. I think it feels almost like tribes. Still working on some video issues (brownout during a lightning storm fried my mb and video card and power supply this summer... never got a new video card). There's just a hair bit longer of a delay for the disc launcher than I remember. Or I'm getting old.

:)

Played some last night. A lot of the guys I was playing with didnt know how to use the disc launcher correctly. So they used some assault-rifle looking thing instead. I was slaying them left and right. It felt awesome to be making that many kills but wierd because I know I'm not really that good, considering I havent played Tribes (anything) in more than a year.

Character name: Starmage21 guys!

Well, you ARE getting old. ;)

But yes, the specific feel (and timing) of weapons, skiing, and such is definitely NOT exactly the same. I'm OK with that, it's just an adjustment we have to make and doesn't change the whole dynamic. The loadout restrictions bother me more. Overall, though... feels good.

Big patch coming out today changing physics and removing speed hardcaps. I hope that does something nice for my poor Juggernaut cause his fat ass is slow.

BTW, anyone notice that you can ski forever on a flat surface if you have a little speed when you start?

And if you haven't tried the missile launcher yet on the Doombringer, try it. It's not too hard to use and the QQ is hilarious.
