My ToB..not titled yet..
Well.. I found it again, I haven't added anything to it yet because I just found it. Figured I'd post it here for safe keeping and try to work on it over the week <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> Maybe I can actually finish off the damn beginning of the story soon <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

-----------------------------------------------------------

The darkness caused by the crumbled building was broken by a shard of light as the thirteen year old StarWolf pushed the pieces away. They weren't really StarWolves, not anymore..they'd gone their own way, been abandoned, yet they still sought the Great Wolf in death, and those who died honorably did walk with Him. Still, the 'pack' as they'd called their group had been in desperate need for troops to help defend, and so as young as twelve they were given armor and used the weapons in combat that they learned since they could walk.
Being thirteen the teen had been in combat when the Blood Eagle had come. Well, he'd been preparing to join it..he'd just gotten fully into his armor when the building had come down on them, and now he was clawing his way out. With a final armor-enhanced shove the last block ahead of him fell crumbling away and he climbed out of the hole to behold the devastation around him. Charred corpses were everywhere in the destroyed town, there were many Blood Eagle dead, but there were more of his pack. Women, Men, and those in armor didn't register as much except as notches for payback in the youths mind. The dead children who'd been brutally slaughtered though enraged the youth to no end.

The rage broke through all the training exercises he'd been given in keeping calm, especially when you were probably outnumbered and didn't know where the enemy was. For long moments though he simply stood ontop of his pile of rubble as his eyes had found the one corpse he didn't want to see, or at least parts of it anyhow. Near the bottom of the pile was the head of his younger sister Ayame, the head had been severed by a modified disc which were designed to cut through instead of explode. What he assumed to be half her torso was a few feet away, and the rest of her body was even further back.

Clouded eyes played what was probably the scene of her death over and over in a horrific reverie, then it blissfully ended as his senses told him someone was coming. Just as he looked over to the corner he saw two men come around. One of them was wearing peltast, the other myrmidon and they wore the colors of a group he'd never heard of. By the scratches and dents on their armor they'd obviously seen combat recently and the myrmidon as it saw him quickly brought a plascannon to bear and fired off a shot while screaming out "There's one! Look out!!"

The plasma covered the distance horrifically quickly and the youth just barely got out of the way by diving off of the pile. The top of the pile where he'd been standing was melted to slag and the ground was rushing to the youth, though it wasn't much of a fall it could still be fatal. Placing his hands out in front the youth turned the dive into a roll as he hit the ground, and as his feet remet the ground he shover off in a direction at an angle towards the mymidon and light, both of whom were trying to track the movements to lead the next shots.

The next two plasma shots struck dangerously near the unarmed StarWolf as he moved near a building, then he was off again as a minihop followed by a shove and jet-assissted jump off the building's wall brought him directly above the heavy, and below the light which had taken to the air. Looking up the youth landed and jumped away from the heavy just as the peltast launched a spinfusor from it's stormhammer. Unfortunately for the myrmidon the jump from it's head at pushed it directly into the discs path. Even worse was the already damaged helmet took the hit directly, and the powerful disc's explosion went strait through the armor and the myrmidon pilot's head.

"Shazbot!" rang through the air as the enemy peltast landed and took off after the youth who was sprinting down the street towards another building. Another disc left the stormhammer heading for the youth, and again it missed as the youth grabbed onto a pole while hitting the jets making him take a quick turn 90 degrees, and towards what was his true objective...a friendly armor that had two fully loaded weapons still strapped to it's back.
Determined not to let the youth get a chance to fight back the peltast took quick aim and fired. Again the spinfusor left the launcher and arced towards the corpse and youth.

To the peltast's shock the StarWolf was still going for the body even though it saw the disc coming over the long distance. The wolf's hand then went to it's belt and unclipped the grenade it had managed to keep somehow. Disabling the timer the grenade was thrown at an angle and through either luck, skill, or a combination of both the grenade exploded and took out the disc about five feet from the body and weapons.

The blinding rage was still pounding in the youths head as he came shifted and skidded by the body, as he did his hands darted out and the dead armor released the plascannon and chaingun when the young StarWolf's hands grabbed and tugged. Now he was armed as well, and the rage still pounding he placed the plascannon in the harness and opened fire with the chaingun. The fletchettes screamed through the air as they raced for the enemy peltast who had so quickly become the hunted.

Both peltasts, starwolf and whomever the other was, took to the air and for the building tops of those buildings that still remained. The youth was obviously rather unskilled with the chaingun, but his desire for blood kept the bullets near the fleeing peltast. Only, too late the youth realized that the man he was chasing wasn't fleeing, but leading him into a battle zone. The enemy peltast landed on the ground and near a pair of myrmidons. Quickly pointing towards the youth who just landed on the roof of a nearby building, and the two heavies turned, and then the first one fired.

The smoky green trail of the mortar arced through the air towards the youth who once again fled and dove off the building and onto the next buildings ledge. The mortar exploded behind him leveling the unshielded building, luckily the young Wolf escaped the blast onto the next building. Unfortunately, just as he regained his footing the second myrmidon's disc impacted the ledge and destroyed it sending the young Wolf tumbling to the ground.

This time the landing wasn't as soft as the fall was broken by the ground, and the youth landed on his back. Laughing the two myrmidons took aim and fired discs again, and in desperation the youth hit his jets, pushing himself along the ground on his back with them, as he pulled the trigger on the chaingun. The chambers rolled, but nothing came out as the clip had been emptied on the chase over. Cursing the wolf through the chaingun away and reached to his side where the plascannon was. Quickly aiming and firing in the general direction of the heavies. The plasma bursts gave the youth time as the heavies didn't want to take unnecessary damage.

The few seconds were all the Wolf needed though to roll onto his feet and scramble towards where he hoped whomever was fighting these strange invaders, who'd seemingly wiped out the Blood Eagle force which had been here, was stationed. Once again seeing his prey leave though caused the enemy peltast to give chase, this time using his own chain gun to shoot at the Wolf who was running instead of taking to the air.

Then, the fletchettes stopped coming as a tall, somehow still standing, wall of some destroyed building was coming up. Looking back the youth saw the peltast taking aim with a disclauncher while standing on a building. Cursing the wolf leaped and hit his jets, still headed for the large wall. The spinfusor impacted the ground behind him and blew harmlessly. However, the unseen launched disc took the youth directly in the back at an angle and sent him over the top of the wall. Then the freefall began as the ground rushed up to greet the wolf who's jets for some reason weren't coming on to help slow his descent.

Another curse at the realization that the disc must have damaged the jets the youth tried it's last chance. Once again unholstering his plascannon her shot for the ground hoping that the plasma would damage/melt enough of the floor that it would help break and slow down his fall, while letting him go through so the sudden stop didn't kill him. The last shot left the plascannon and hit the floor seconds before the youth hit the floor. The plan worked for the most part as the remains of the thick floor shattered at his contact and he hit some sort of ramp. Dust from the stone and dirt on the ground flew into the air and covered everything in viewable distance at the bottom of whatever the ramp had been.

Finally the dust settled and the sound that greeted the youth wasn't happy, it was the sound of a spinfuzor ready to go off. Looking around the wolf realized he was in the middle of a circle of troops wearing different armor then the peltast who'd pursued him. One of them stepped forward into the little light and the wolf recognized the letters 'D.T.M' below the name 'Spectre' on the armor's insignia area. The man spoke with an air of confidence and leadership, "You have ten seconds to tell us who you are, and why you're here. You've already jeapordized this strike team so talk fast. and I suggest you remove that helmet so we can see who you are."

****** End of First Part ******

The youth glanced around taking in the group, there were seven of them and all except for two of them were in peltast, the other two were in hoplite. The ten seconds coming to an end the others' guns came up and the youth realized they meant ten seconds. "Wait, hold your fire..my name's Kayin StarBlade...I seem to be all that remains of The Pack" As he spoke his hands moved up to the helmet and released the safety's on it then pulled it off completely.

From around the group three of the D.T.M. gasped in surprise as one of them muttered silently "Geez, he's only a boy..what the heck is he doing in armor?". The others simply watched and waited for Spec's lead.

"The Pack? that's no tribe I've ever heard of, I thought this was StarWolf territory.." Spec responded as he regarded StarBlade, his eyes seemingly penetrating the youth's very soul.

"It was, the StarWolf abandoned us, and now it seems you never will hear of our Pack. You going to let me go?"

"Why do you want to go? Why not join us, finish being a kid while you can..then later if you want you can suit up again." Spectre asked though he already knew that something had been kindled in the young man's heart, and that this StarBlade wouldn't be able to stop fighting until he was dead or he got his revenge. Then again, if he could get Kayin to join them he might also be able to help him get over what was surely a suicide mission.

"I'm going to go, and I'm going to get that bastard who killed my sister. If you're still around afterwards we can talk." Kayin said as he began moving to put his helmet back on and leave. Though the lot did seem fearsome he'd learned a thing or two about reading people as well, and he knew that this man wasn't the type to shoot someone in the back, especially an unarmed man.

"And there's nothing I can do to dissuade you?" Spectre asked in response as he seemed to nod thoughtfully.

"Nothing,"

"I see, that's too bad.." The talking worked as Kayin was so caught up on Spectre that he didn't notice another peltast move up silently behind him, and he only noticed the peltast there at the moment when the butt of a spinfusor hit him across the back of the head. Then, everything went dark for the youth as his body collapsed to the floor. "I don't envy the headache you'll have StarBlade, but it's better than dying in a fight you can't win." Then, looking up Spectre said to the man who'd knocked him out, "Get him back to the drop ship, and be careful..I expect to see you both alive and well when we return THEEF."

"Ackowledged Spec," The man known as THEEF responded before picking up the young Wolf and shouldering his body he moved back down the tunnels the way they'd come. Not long after Cowboy moved to help escort THEEF as they really didn't need all seven of them for setting the charges, especially as they were now behind the enemy line.

"Alright, the rest of us are to keep going. Let's move Dragons" Spec ordered, and the remaining five of them continued down the tunnels about a quarter mile before stopping at a support column. "Alright, Fro, Morph...blow this column, the collapse should cause the building above to come down and destroy the generators the enemies are using to keep us here."

"You mean we're not going to wipe these guys out?" Scorched asked.

"Yeah, I thought we were here to get rid of the invaders Spec!"Scorched's brother Pyro added in.

"Yes, I know..that was the original plan. But the plan was made on the assumption of a strong StarWolf presence here still, and you heard that kid..he said he's the last. We just don't have enough and I won't waste lives in a battle that we can't win." Spec responded.

"Charges set," both Morpheus and Firefro reported at the same time. Despite what they were doing the speed and efficiency of the two brought a grin to Spectres face.

"Alright, set the timer for 30 minutes and we'll get out of here!" He ordered and a few moments later and the group of five was on their way back down the tunnel.

**********************

THEEF and Cowboy were making good time through the tunnels and they made it back to the hatch they'd used to enter the tunnels in about 3/4 of the time it had taken the whole group, then again that was explained by the hoplite's inability to go as fast and the care they'd been forced to take with the explosives. The two worked quickly to open the hatch and get themselves, and the unconcious form of StarBlade, out of the tunnels before beginning the last stretch of the return trip through a park of somesorts and then over the city's wall to their dropship.

Unfortunately, half way through the park two peltasts spotted the trio and immediately began pursuit. Quickly taking in the situation THEEF fully handed over the youth to the physically stronger Cowboy while quickly speaking, "I'll hold these two off, you get him back to the ship..and move quickly got it?"

Not waiting for a response THEEF took off at a run towards the two peltasts as he readied his plascannon. Squeezing off a shot as he jumped he won a morale victory as the burst of plasma directly struck one of the two peltasts just before the deadly dance in the sky began. The three peltasts arced and flew through the air on various courses as the chaingun fletchettes, spinfusors, and plasma bursts ripped through the air after the various peltasts.

"THEEF, what's your situation?" came Asha'Man's voice over the com unit.

"Oh, I'm just having a little dance with these guys, did Tx make it to base with our young friend?"

"Yep, I'm on my way now..just stay alive buddy, these guys are good." Asha's voice said.

THEEF wasn't given a chance to respond as he immediately was forced to spring from his spot to avoid a disc and then run from the fletchettes which were striking the ground dangerously close to him. "That's it, I'm sick of playing games" he muttered before spinning around and taking off on a collision course for the airborn chaingunner. After closing half the distance and not giving the enemy peltast, which was having problems hitting the charging THEEF, much room to dodge he unloaded the last five shots into the guy's chest. The first four shots melted through the armor and some of the flesh leaving the fifth shot to mercifully end the mans screaming as the plasma literally melted his lungs.

Unfortunately the charge drained the remaining juice and THEEF dropped back to the ground with his back to a tree. Looking up he saw the other peltast approaching him through the air, an angry spinfusor just waiting to be released and tear into the already battle scarred DTM armor. For THEEF everything seemed to slow down and he could almost literally see as the enemy peltast's finger squeezed the trigger, and he watched frozen by the sight of his impending death as the spinfuzor tore through the air on a collision course with his throat.

For a few brief moments it was almost like THEEF could see his life flash before his eyes, then he was tumbling on the ground as something fairly heavy ran into him and took him to the ground. His eyes refocused just in time to watch as a disc out of nowhere took the enemy peltast in the chest and finished him off. The concussive force blasted the body back through the air in a fashion very reminiscent of a rag doll being thrown through the air by an ill tempered child.

"You ok, THEEF?" came Variable's voice from beside him.

"What? Oh, yeah..thanks for the save..and nice shooting Asha" THEEF responded.

Asha'Man responded only with a grin before helping Variable off of THEEF, and then helping THEEF get back to his feet the trio quickly made their way back to the drop ship. On the way THEEF couldn't help but ask, "How are Spectre and the others doing?"

"They blew the building alright, but they're caught up in a fight right now. Ice, Mountain, and Hurricane have already left to help them." Variable replied.

***************************

Spectre, Morpheus, FireFro, Scorched, and Pyro were currently caught in the semi-standing remains of a building. The walls must have been partially shielded as they were still standing up to the discs, fletchettes, and plasma bursts being thrown at them. "Ok, Morph, Scorced, and Fro..you three head out and over to those walls over there. They seem like they can provide better cover. Myself and Pyro will laydown covering fire. Remember, try to conserve ammo and take whatever you can, if you can from any dead armored bodies." Spec said, then as he and Pyro took up positions on either side of the wide door he counted down. "5...4...3...2...1...
GO!!!!"

On the word both Spec and Pyro stepped out and let loose with their chainguns over the top of what their enemies were using for cover in the fire fight. An unfortunate peltast peeked up just a little too high and a stray fletchette went through the unprotected eye visor and into his eye before exploding. The dead body hit the floor with a thud inaudible due to the ringing of chaingun fire.

Seeing the other three made it safely to the new cover Pyro motioned for Spectre to go across as he laid down covering fire. Spectre complied and began going across before turning sideways so he could still keep the nozzle of his gun pointed at the enemie's coverage and he motioned for Pyro to come to. As things go though, both barrels suddenly stopped spitting fletchettes, their clips empty. "Shazbot!" Pyro half said/half yelled before he and Spec began running the last distance to join their comrades.

Spectre took the last few yards in a flying leap which Pyro tried copying, but as he set his foot down to push off he ended up landing on a loose pile of rubble. Not noticing Pyro still shoved off, and realized his bad footing when the rubble went out from under him and he ended up landing flat on his face. As he began scrambling to get back to his feet he looked to the side and watches as a hoplite peeked over with a plasma cannon and took aim.

To Be Continued... Re: My ToB..not titled yet..
here's part III..and I don't know when you're going to die Asha <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

------------------------------------------------------------

The trigger on the plascannon was pulled and the ball of plasma darted through the air on it’s collision course with Pyro’s head. Not having time for anything else Pyro crossed his arms in front of his face and bit down hard to brace himself for the searing pain he knew he was about to expirience. The bolt hit and though his arms shielded him from most of it, some of the plasma reached through and hit his face-plate burning through the thinner
metal there. A feral scream of pain echoed across the area as Pyro, acting on pure instinct, ripped the helmet from him and through it away before passing out from the shock.

In retaliation Scorch screamed ut, “PPYYRRROOOO!!!!” while leaping through the air towards the hoplite who had injured, and quite possibly killed, his brother. Scorch landed with a kick to the faceplate of the
enemy hoplite before firing his own plascannon at the enemy’s face. Another scream ripped through the area, though this was gagged prematurely as Scorch stuffed one of his grenades into the enemy hoplite’s mouth before jumping and jetting back over the wall tossing two more to either side of his victim. The other enemies, two peltasts and another hoplite, had been too stunned to react to the bizarre counter strike from these Dragon Talon Mercenaries. The two second fuse in the grenade finished before the hoplite, who’d had the misfortune of shooting one of the DTM, recovered enough to even think of spitting out the grenade. As the grenade detonated the poor man’s head quite literally disintegrated under the powerful blast, and the
helmet was turned to shrapnel which fired in every direction adding to the damage dealt by the other two grenades.

Spectre grabbed Scorch by the shoulder and dragged him the first couple of yards before Scorch got the hint and ran on his own. Ahead, Morpheus was carrying Pyro on his back as the group continued their running trek back towards the dropship, and hopefully to the stars and
freedom. The small group came to a silent halt as they saw FireFro’s hand signal. Fro than finished the message with the hand signals, first holding up two fingers, signaling two enemies. The signals continued as Fro’s hand
marked a space in the air twice, the height of the space signaled that both of the enemies were in myrmidon armor. The last signal, simply two pats to his chest, was the icing on the cake and showed that both of the myrmidons had
shield enhancement packs on them. The group’s response was for everyone to look at Spectre for their next move. The odds were against them, especially in these closed quarters, and even more so because the chances of the
Myrmidons’ having mortars were extremely high.

“Joe, this is Spectre. Myself, Morpheus, FireFro, Scorch, and Pyro are pinned down here by two Myrmidons. Any chance for some help here?” Spectre spoke through his com unit.

“IceDragon, MountainKing, Asha’Man, and Hurricane just left. Are the Myrmidon’s open to an air strike?” Joe’s voice crackled in their receivers.

“Yes, why? Are they airborne?” asked Spectre.

“Yes we are Spec, we’re locked on to your coordinates now, E.T.A. about three minutes, just sit tight until then ok?” A new voice crackled over the radio.

“Acknowledged” Responded Spectre through the radio, then killing the transmission he looked to the rest of his group. Pyro was still out, but he was groaning quietly still. None of them had a repair pack with them, so he’d
have to hold out until help arrived. Without a word, Morpheus and FireFro took position just out of sight of the enemy myrmidons, every now and then just peeking out a little bit to make sure that the two Heavy Armored warriors
hadn’t noticed them yet.

A minute and a half passed, but to those who were stuck behind the wall in hiding it seemed like it took forever. Spectre had squatted down near Pyro, a gauntleted hand gently stroking back the pained warriors hair, the
gesture almost fatherly, these men weren’t just soldiers. Each and every one of them were closer than friends, or combat-buddies could possibly be, and deep down each one of them wanted to revisit the pain on all of the members of this unidentified tribe that they had seen fit to visit upon Pyro. The silence dragged on, before being broken as Firefro softly swore before speaking, “Spec...Spec..we got a problem here man...three peltasts just joined those two
myrmidons, and from the looks of it they’re going to check out in here. Those fatties were just waiting for backup.”

Spectre nodded in response, before hailing Ice, Asha, Hurricane, and MountainKing on the radio, “Guys, we have a problem here. We’re about to be found out, and in these closed quarters we don’t have much chance, especially with Pyro injured. How long until you get here?”

“We need another minute” responded Asha’Man.

“In another minute we’ll probably be dead..get here as quick as you can..but be prepared to come down on an all out fight.” Spectre spoke into his radio, then turned to the rest of them. “Scorch, Morpheus, get Pyro to somewhere safe back there, at least two corners back and then return here ok? I don’t like leaving him alone, but we’re going to need every able-body that we can get. Fro, what are they doing now?”

“A peltast is coming our way, we got five to ten seconds..” FireFro responded silently.

“Alright, then move back behind that corner. We want him out of view of the rest of them before we take him down and out.” The four Dragons quickly complied, and before the peltast came around to where they were, they were all back behind the next corner, Spectre silently watching the peltast from his position behind the corner, just leaning out enough for one eye to be able to watch the peltast, and too far in the shade for his black armor to be reconizable. Spectre indicated with his fingers, counting down how long until the Peltast would be close enough to that corner for them to strike. The last finger curled back into the fist, just as the peltast came into view. Time seemed to slow down as FireFro lunged out and tackled the other peltast, then Spectre was out and using the butt of his Spinfusor he knocked the enemy peltast unconcious. Unfortunately, it didn’t go off without a hitch,
and as the peltast fell over his trigger finger tightened with a spasm and his chaingun fired several rounds harmlessly into the floor. Not so harmless was
the loud noise the gun made.

Quickly hurrying to the corner just before the large opening with the two Myrmidons, Spectre swore than called back to the group, “Everyone out to the opening. Fight them outside where we can actually move around. Take
care of those Myrmidons as quickly as you can.. MOVE IT!!”. The last yelled command jolted everyone, and the four Dragon Talon Mercenaries quickly ran around the corner before leaping forward and hitting their jets. The tactic saved their lives as they were able to slip past the two approaching myrmidons before one of the deadly mortars could be fired into the tunnel.

Spectre, being the last one to get out of the tunnel quickly spun around and fired his disclauncher at the ground in front of the heavies. The concussion from the explosion shoved both myrmidons back further into the
enclosure. Before he could finish what he wanted to do though he was stung as the fletchette from one of the peltasts’ chaingun sliced through his side, the
bullet cutting through the armor’s already weakened shielding from earlier battles and even slicing through some flesh before finishing it’s trip by hitting
the ground. Turning around to face his attacker, Spectre quickly lined up his disclauncher with the slowly jetting light-armored enemy and fired. The spinfusor sped through the air leaving an angry blue trail behind it before
colliding with the enemy peltast in the chest, blasting it higher into the air. As the peltasts descent began another disc collided with it, this one hitting it in
the back at an angle and the concussive force threw the poor peltast into a wall quite effectively knocking him out.

Turning around to get back into the fray, Spectre couldn’t help but grin a little at how deadly his troops were as he watched the other peltast drop from the sky and land with a thud right in front of him. Before anything else
could be done however, a voice sliced through everyone’s line of thought as it screamed out, “MORTAR!! EVERYONE UP!!”. The voice wasn’t a second to soon, as right after the four Dragon’s began to leap away from where the mortar had landed did it explode, the force sending them all flying through the air, and in one case through a wall of rubble.

A strange, almost evil, laugh came to three of the Dragon Talon Mercenaries as they groggily got up. Morpheus, who’d managed to land facing the right way, saw it was the second Myrmidon laughing as he casually held the limp form of Pyro up with one hand, the nozzle of a plascannon held to the back of Pyro’s head. “Don’t move, or I finish your
friend here off.” The myrmidon spoke. Not wishing to risk their friend, the three of them lowered their weapons (though still keeping them so they could be easily readied).

Spectre’s mind worked frantically as he tried to figure out what to do before the two myrmidon’s finished them off. They needed to buy at least a few more moments for help to arrive..wait..what was that to his side?
Glancing slightly to his side, Spectre watched as he saw Morpheus look at him questioningly with his thumb resting near a switch on his disclauncher. Morpheus must have grabbed one of their modified disclaunchers, which
meant he had three razor discs which could be fired if the switch was on secondary mode. Was it worth the risk? Knowing Morpheus, he’d probably try to bounce the disc to take the myrmidon’s hand off so Pyro would drop..if
he missed chances are the shot would kill the young warrior, but the death would be a painless death, unlike what the plasma shot would be. Something else than caught Spectre’s eye, it was behind Morpheus, and with a slight
grin he recognized it, two scouts coming fast. Spectre responded to Morpheus’ look then with a nod, it was worth the risk, especially since Pyro could be dead either way.

Morpheus’ thumb quickly flipped the switch as he raised the disclauncher just a little bit more in an absent action. The Myrmidon holding Pyro quickly turned his head to look at Morpheus, and watched in horror as he saw a disc hit the ground, bounce, and then hit his heavily armored and shielded body before bouncing off, growing blades, and slicing through his arm at the wrist. Pyro’s body and the hand dropped to the ground as the Myrmidon staggered back screaming. The other Myrmidon watched stunned for a few seconds before turning back to the group to fire a mortar and kill all of the pesky peltasts. Too late he saw the scout close the last few meters to him before the pilot jumped off and jetted up. The front end of the scout hit
him at top speed before the explosion completely destroyed the scout, the explosion and the crash though only took down most of the armor and all of the shielding of the heavy. However, the shrapnel that once had been part of
the wing going through the myrmidon’s throat was quite fatal.

Morpheus in those split seconds while the one-handed Myrmidon staggered back and the other Myrmidon watched in shock quickly adjusted his aim and let loose his last two razor-discs. Both struck true, the first one
simply breaking the shield at the myrmidon’s throat before the second disc sliced through the armor before stopping lodged half-way into the heavy-armored warrior’s throat. The second scout’s missile then struck the
already dead Myrmidon’s chest blowing it back against a wall and to the ground. The pilot of that scout landed his plane before dismounting and going over to join the group as they all rushed over to Pyro. The kamikaze pilot, IceDragon, broke the silence, “Me and Hurricane left the APC’s behind when you said you needed help quickly. CrazyLeg and Asha’Man should be here soon, Crazy’s got a HPC and Asha has an LPC.”
“Alright, thanks” Spectre responded before standing up. “By the way, nice shooting Morpheus. You are as you said, an artist with the disc-launcher.”

Morpheus’ response was a simple nod of the head. He’d never claimed
to be any good with any weapon, he knew what shots he could make and
which he couldn’t, and since he knew what he could do he didn’t have the
need to boast as some others felt.

The last few minutes before the two APC’s arrived were spent stripping the unconcious and dead enemies of what was still usable, especially their IFFs and insignia. They’d need to find out about this new tribe and what they wanted with this planet. They finished the clean up just
as the two APC’s landed in the small clearing. Not wasting any time everyone hopped into an open spot, with Pyro being securely strapped into a rear seat on the HPC. As they flew back Scorch used a borrowed repair pack on his brother, running the beams that transmitted nano-repair bits to fix the flesh and armor. It wouldn’t do a complete or good job, but the nano-repairing would keep the warrior alive long enough to get him to the medical bay on their drop ship...

***END PART III***

~ "Applications programming is a race between the programmer and the universe. Re: My ToB..not titled yet..
yep scout-ramming is probably one of the easiest and quickest way to remove a HoF that there is. On RD especially as you can rocket above him so the concussion keeps him on the platform for your ram <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

Unfortunately the next bit isn't going to be as 'action packed' as it's going to be developing a bit more of the plot. Also, in the space of the next 2 parts I'm doing, about 5-10 years or so will probably pass. I have a general plan, but it always changes when I hit the paper <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

~ "Applications programming is a race between the programmer and the universe.
