Heres the whole story :

My wife bought me one for fathers day and I need to know if theres a way to set the refresh rate up a notch or two. I get a little fuzz when theres lots of action on the screen. Or any other things to improve it.

It is set to 16ms, its not a setting. I had a Acer 19" 16ms refresh monitor and it was a BIG disappointment. Ghosting was a problem with it. I bit the bullet and returned the POS, costed me like 40 bucks for the 10% restock fee but it was worth it.
I got me a Samsung 12ms refresh LCD and i couldnt be happier with it, so much better than the Acer. The difference was night and day. So if your not happy with it, i would return it, as you will never be happy you kept it.

Its supposed to be 16 ....Not sure where to set it at and or check.

What is the refresh rate? It is probably 25ms. If so there is not much that can be done. You must have a refresh rate of 16ms or lower to prevent ghosting.

Where do you find that info at ?

You should find out if it is 8ms gray-to-gray or black-white-black. I know Viewsonic carries a 8ms, but it is 8ms gray-to-gray / 20ms black-white-black.
*Edit - Newegg carries that monitor for $314

The closer to 0 the better Sledge...that 8ms one from Samsung is excellent, or at least thats what a couple of friends tell me.

What about an 8ms one? They have one I could exchange it for, its a Samsung 19 inch with 8 ms refresh rate...Same price ....... need input quickly to decide....

Sledge can actually move around fast enough to get a ghosting effect?

It's a bunch of hooey.
Sorta.
That 16ms number is kind of like measuring CPU power/speed in MHz. Doesn't tell the whole story. There are several ways manufacturers can derive that number, and some are better than others. I've determined that when I finally get a flatscreen, a review by an expert source is the only way to go, because you just can't trust the feature checklist.
