Fireworks and Lightning

Post by XMENPorsche »

I started another thread on another board where I was asking how to photograph fireworks. I had an opportunity to take some of the suggestions that I got and put them to use last night. The Texas Rangers were in town and there was a fireworks display scheduled for after the game. I head out, set up my tripod on the other side of the small lake by Ameriquest Field and waited for the fun to begin. There were storms starting to roll in and God was putting on his own fireworks display. Sooooo.... here I am, shooting away at the fireworks and a thought occurs to me, "wouldn't it be cool if I could get some lightening in the same frame as the fireworks....." Then it happened. Personally, I think the shot below is pretty cool.
