A controversial drug which can keep people awake for days has been tested by the UK military, MPs have been told.
Hmmmmmm.....note to self...get some for next LAN party. :lol:

No Kidding.... but the thing is, is the US has had similar pills for a long time...

Well... they're just amphetamines. And I have heard of folks getting addicted to them.

This new stuff is supposed to work differently. I don't know if this is the same chemical or not, but the one I read about a few months ago seemed almost magical. I'm thinking there's gotta be a side effect somewhere, but apparently they hadn't found it at that time.

I am bipolar I - manic; and the military says its a disability. Maybe screwing around with sleep like this is simply a bad idea.

Sorry, had to. :)

IIRC, this stuff is the kind of drug that tricks your brain into thinking it doesn't need sleep. Not that I think that's a very good idea, as there's been plenty of research that shows what a lack of sleep does to the mind.
