Computer Drawing
Okay taking suggestions. Ive been doodling around lately with my artistic abilities and have started drawing again. Mostly fooling around doodles for anything that pops to mind. Anyone know a decent program for drawing that I can get for cheap (remember im just starting).

The programs below are free of charge. They're GPL licensed, so come with source code if you want it. They're also multiplatform, so run on Linux, Mac, or Windows.

Inkscape comes immediately to mind. It's like Adobe Illustrator.

There's also the GIMP, of course.

If you're after modeling and 3d animation, try Blender. You'll also want to see the Blender tutorials, because it's tough to just pick up.

my #1 favorite computer drawing program is Art Rage! Exellent simulated papers, pencils, markers, crayons, and oils! The only thing I can do to a tollerable degree of competency is pencil drawing... and with a proper tablet, I can sketch many times better with Art Rage than I can with pencil and paper. (Thanks mostly to saves and the undo button.)
