SCO sues AutoZone, Daimler-Chrysler

Post by XMEN Gambit »

Yup. SCO needs more (law)suits, definitely. Anything to drain their cash reserves faster and put them out of our misery.

Check www.Groklaw.net for the latest details. Be patient, it's getting slammed.

Here's a good article on how it relates to their bottom line:

<a href="http://www.fool.com/News/mft/2004/mft04 ...

I just don't understand how they can possibly hope to stay in business long enough to see any of this money they are after (and that assumes they actually win any of their cases).

Real Geeks don't make there own backups. The hypothesis is not that they're trying to stay in business long enough to collect, but that they're trying to buoy the stock price long enough for the execs to sell their equity in the company.

It's called a "pump 'n' dump" in Wall Street terms.

This just keeps getting better.

Here's a link to a 3-page article on these two suits, specifically, and how they are affected (or not) by other SCO litigation elsewhere.
Quote:
"You now have a little company suing four immense companies in different places on very different claims and supposing that it can take all of this on at once. My advice to potential and/or existing Linux customers who might be worried about being sued by SCO is that the lesson here is that your greatest danger of that is to be a SCO customer."

<img src=http://www.thzclan.com/forums/images/sm ... bounce.gif ALT=":bounce">
