Rogue called me at work today to say they were fine, and the thunderstorm hadn't caused any damage (I didn't know there'd been one here...). When I came home from work, I disovered that my router was dead. Now, this wasn't just a router, it was a wireless router with a print server too. Cost me 150 smackers a couple of years ago. Actually, it's not quite dead - it still acts like a switch, but all its DHCP and web configuration and even the null-modem console mode are all kaput.<br>So I drove up to Fry's looking for a replacement, and couldn't find one. Best I could do was a regular wireless router (wi-fi "B", so $30 after rebate) and a stand-alone print server, which they want $50 or $70 (or more) for, depending on whether you want parallel, USB, or USB-2 printer capability. I'm delaying the print server purchase, but I'll want to do it eventually.
