I've been in Portland, Oregon for a few months now, at let me say the state is gorgeous! How do you like that camera? It takes great pictures. It is an awesome camera, yeah. It has a 10x optical zoom, which gives me a ton of freedom with the pictures I take.<br><br>I've done a little bit before this - I used to have an old HP camera with, hrm, 2x digital zoom. 1 megapixel. It did what I needed it to, but I realised I finally wanted a better camera, so I grabbed this.<br><br>So I've done a little bit of "point and snap", but no, not a lot of photography. <p></p><i></i>

Red- How does the s5000 do in low light situations, like being indoors? Is it a 'fast' camera? (i.i Can you take surprise candid very easily, or does the autofocus take way too long to get good surprise shots, etc.)<br><br>I've got a Fuji FinePix 3800, and it's image quality is pretty good for a 3.2 MP camera, but it's slow, and does not do well indoors. I have a Best Buy Warranty on it, and I'm thinking of "breaking" it, so I can get something else.. It is a bit of a slow camera - not the least of which is having the zoom roll out when you turn it on. The auto-focus and such is fairly average. If you want something fast more than you need anything else, I think the Minolta ZImage series (the Z3 just came out, I believe) is something to look into. <p></p><i></i>
