Looks like we picked a good day to not go to the airshow...
Jim LeRoy lost his life today in a horrible CRASH, and now I'm not sure if I want to go for tomorrow's show.

We go almost every year, but we didn't go this time around. I'm glad I wasn't at Saturday's show. I don't think I would want to watch that in person.
The Thunderbirds fly at the Dayton air show almost every year. Last year was the only show where I remember them not being there. Instead, we got to see the Blue Angels. Both groups are very impressive. It's hard to choose a favorite between them.

I didn't go, but I'll still get to see the Thunder Birds. There's a P-51 fly-in in Columbus in September and the Thunder Birds will be there. Though I think over 100 P-51s would be more of a spectacle than even the Thunder Birds can muster. I think that they are even planning a formation flyover of ~50 P-51s!!!
