Porsche in Hospital
Please pray for Wes, he was admitted to the hospital on Sunday morning with shortness of breath.
Turns out he has an enlarged heart, leaky heart valves, and an abnormal heartbeat. They are treating him with drugs, he is stable.
I just ask that you keep him in your prayers.
Thanks,
David

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, folks! I got discharged today and got home about an hour ago, but I'm not in the clear yet.
In a nutshell, I have an irregular heartbeat, and enlarged heart, and a couple of leaky heart valves. Plus, the cardiologist thinks that there might be a problem with the blood circulation in my heart, too. They're going to try to treat it with medicine, but if that doesn't work they'll have to shock my heart back into a normal rythm. So far no on has said anything at all about surgery, but they are thinking that it's going to take 3-4 months before they'll have a good handle on what it will take to fix things up for good.
Again, I appreciate all of the prayers and good will. I'm going to try and get back to as much of a normal life as possible and just take it day by day.

I never really know what to say in situations like this... besides the usual, "I wish you the best". It's good that they haven't yet brought up surgery and that there is hope for less drastic measures. Just take it easy, but avoid idleness like the plague.
I don't know if you're allowed to be out shooting moto-x anymore, but setup a light tent and do some macro.

We'll keep praying for ya. I have a friend who suffers from the irregular heart beat thing. Sometimes it returns to normal on its own and sometimes they have to do the shock treatment. He manages to live a normal life though. Heart trouble sucks. I hope the doctors do good things for you.
BTW, not to be sick or anything, but I was looking at your avatar and was thinking "leaky valves" and kind of chuckled. Maybe your Porsche engine needs an overhaul.
